It all started when…
Lisa walked into Liz’s freshman English class wearing giant Sally Jesse Raphael eyeglasses.
Liz thought: Yep, that’s my girl.
They were instant BFFs. they bonded over books, big hair and Beauty and the Beast.
They went to the same college, joined the same sorority and made the same tragic fashion choices.
They adopted a cat named Ed. He was emotionally unavailable. Totally their type! 🐱
Their first attempt at co-writing was a one-act play in theater class. They had a big fight over “creative differences” and vowed to never collaborate again. ⚔️
Fast forward ten years. They decided to write together again. They were older, maybe wiser?
Five years and 3 manuscripts later. . . they got a book deal! 📚
Twelve years and nine novels later. . . many of their books are set in exotic locations like Maui, Tulum and Positano. (It’s important to be able to describe the taste of the local cocktails!) 🍹
In three decades, they’ve been through it all: weddings, milestone birthdays, cross-country moves and. . . midlife crises. Plus, one hell of a publishing journey full of ups and downs.
We turned all the stories, fights and lessons we learned in our 35-year friendship into a podcast: We Fight So You Don’t Have To. 🎙️
